Clear information for a changing search experience
Make your salon easier to understand when people search with AI.
People can ask AI-powered search tools about treatments, compare options and look for local salons. This service reviews the information available about your salon and improves the website foundations that help search systems access and interpret it.

The work, in detail
What the work can include
The starting point is an assessment of your current website and public information — not a promise to place your salon inside an AI answer.
01
A visibility baseline
A recorded review of selected salon and treatment questions, noting the tool, date and response. These observations are a sample, not a universal ranking or a claim to know every answer a user will see.
02
Crawling and indexing checks
Review of search-access controls, important page availability and any obvious blocks. Different platforms use different systems, so Google search access and relevant AI search crawlers are considered separately.
03
Clear salon identity
Consistent salon name, location, services, contact information and booking route. The goal is to remove ambiguity about which salon a page describes and what a client can actually arrange there.
04
Helpful treatment information
Content answering questions clients genuinely ask, using information supplied or approved by the salon. Service differences, preparation, prices and aftercare can be covered where you can provide accurate guidance.
05
Connected, understandable pages
A coherent structure linking treatments, salon details and relevant guidance. Appropriate structured data may support this work, but there is no special markup that guarantees an AI recommendation.
06
Ongoing checks where agreed
Follow-up checks on a defined set of questions and a review of identifiable referral traffic. The reporting separates changes made to the website from mentions or visits that can actually be observed.
What is GEO?
A useful label, not a separate shortcut.
Generative engine optimisation, or GEO, is a term used for work intended to support visibility in AI-generated search answers. For a salon, much of that work overlaps with SEO: accessible pages, accurate local information and content that answers real questions.
The additional focus is on how selected AI search experiences represent your salon and which information they can use. We look for gaps, inconsistencies and access issues that can be addressed, rather than claim to control a platform’s recommendations.
What “AI-ready” should mean
Sound foundations without inflated promises.
Google’s guidance says its AI search features do not require a special optimisation layer beyond the relevant search foundations. OpenAI publishes separate guidance for making websites accessible to its search crawler. One platform’s requirements should not be assumed to apply to every other system.
Adding a badge, an “AI file” or a block of keywords is not a substitute for a useful website. The priority is to make the real information about your salon available, consistent and helpful to the person considering an appointment.

How we approach your project
01
Establish the picture
We review your website, public salon details and a defined sample of relevant questions in selected AI search tools.
02
Improve the foundations
The agreed work addresses content gaps, conflicting information, internal structure and practical search-access issues.
03
Review the evidence
Follow-up observations are compared with the starting point, with the limits of the sample and available analytics made clear.
A focused review, with an agreed implementation scope
You can begin with an assessment or include the improvements identified in a defined project. Ongoing monitoring is agreed separately where useful. AI-generated answers vary by query, platform and context, and no inclusion, citation frequency or position can be guaranteed.
A few useful answers
Before you get started
Know what to expect, what is included and where the limits are.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my salon?
No. No service provider controls which salons an AI system chooses to mention. The work improves the information and technical foundations within your control, while reporting observed results honestly.
Is this the same as paying to advertise in an AI tool?
No. This service concerns your website and public information as potential sources for search answers. Any paid advertising on an AI platform would be a separate activity and is not included in this service.
Do I need a completely new website?
Not necessarily. Many changes can be made to the site you already have. A redesign is only considered where the existing setup makes the agreed improvements impractical or where the site also needs wider changes.
Which AI services can be reviewed?
The scope can include selected search experiences such as ChatGPT search and Google’s AI-powered search results, depending on their availability. We agree the tools and questions first, rather than imply that one check measures all AI platforms.
Is letting a search crawler in the same as agreeing to AI training?
Not necessarily. OpenAI distinguishes its search crawler from its training crawler. Access choices should be reviewed for each provider and purpose, rather than changing every AI-related rule together or assuming all bots do the same job.
How do you measure the results?
With a defined sample of questions, recorded observations and referral data where it is identifiable. A mention, a cited link and a visit are different outcomes. We do not treat an isolated answer as a permanent ranking or invent a universal “AI score”.
